Enrollment is open at Texas Online Academy!
Since we opened our virtual doors in 2026, students have come to us ahead, behind, and everywhere in between. Our Texas-specific teachers meet each learner at their level, tailoring their instruction to help them move forward confidently.
How to Enroll in Online School
Enrollment at Texas Online Academy is open to full-time Texas residents in grades K–12. Enrolling at TXOA is simple, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to answer any questions you may have about the enrollment process or our school!
Eligibility Requirements
What do I need to enroll?
- Proof of Residency: While attending TXOA, students must maintain a full-time Texas residency.
- Program Eligibility: To enroll, students must be 5 years old by September 1 of the upcoming school year.
- Proof of Public School Enrollment: Any Texas student in grades K-12 is eligible for full-time enrollment. Students enrolling in grades 2-12 must show proof of enrollment in a Texas public school during the previous school year. Students must submit one of the following documents as proof of prior enrollment:
- Report Card
- Transcript
- Progress Report
What do I need to start school?
- Prior school withdrawal form
- Immunization records

Create an Enrollment Portal Account
K12’s enrollment portal provides access to your online application to TXOA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.
Submit an Application
Once you’re in the enrollment portal, fill in the fields with your child’s information, select TXOA, and hit submit. Need more time to complete your application or to enroll an additional student? We’ll save your application so you can come back later to submit.
Upload Additional Documents
In this step, you’ll share more details about your child and upload required documents. For a list of what’s needed, contact our enrollment consultants at 855.532.6988. Use the checklist at the start of the online enrollment form to stay on track.
